Gaza conflict - World Animal Protection response

News

We have received a large number of enquiries about the animals affected by the conflict in Gaza.

The situation is clearly dire, and our thoughts are with those people and animals who are experiencing tremendous suffering.

Unfortunately, the severe insecurity in the area makes responding virtually impossible at this time. If we tried to enter Gaza, access would be denied to us.

In 2009, we responded to the blockade crisis through the provision of veterinary aid to a partner group. We will be exploring this option, but this will only be possible once conflict has ceased.

We hope that there will be a resolution to the conflict soon, to allow communities to rebuild for people and animals alike.
